Finance Systems Solutions Analyst
Purpose of the role
- Source of expertise for business units and Group Reporting on the (solvency 2) SII chart of accounts, rules and structure
- Evaluation and specification of changes to SII systems to meet business requirements.
- Oversight and control of the SII systems Change Control process.
- Responsibility for the development and maintenance of the group Operational Data Services (ODS)
- Responsibility for identifying and ensuring that the business requirements of the ODS are delivered
Brief outline of key objectives and responsibilities
- Maintain the CoA, develop and specify all changes required to the SII systems CoA, including their implications for internal and external reporting and liaison with the Group Finance, Actuarial and Risk teams.
- Coordinate the change control process to the existing Chart of Accounts, including the testing all changes made to the SII system
- Ensure the SII systems system is ready for SII reporting for quarterly, interim, year-end and business planning.
- Understand Business unit and group requirements to determine how best to use SII systems and the ODS to deliver SII reporting
SKills/Qualificiations
- Have extensive business experience in Financial Services within a Finance role, or in a relevant Business, Data or Systems Analyst role
- Have strong communication skills, with a structured and systematic approach and experience of structured project delivery methods
- Have strong knowledge of Finance Systems (reporting, consolidation, planning and analysis and underlying transactional systems).
- Ability to work both within teams and interact with the business representatives to drive solutions forward and effect change
