A leading Defence company is looking for a security cleared (current) IT Contracts Manager
To lead on the IT Services procurement process, negotiation and contract drafting in order that client can award contracts to new Service Providers June 2012
- To lead on the IT Services procurement process, negotiation and contract drafting in order that the client can award contracts to new Service Providers June 2012.
- Negotiate, draft and review contracts for goods/services within assigned categories, (for approval by the procurement processes) to maximize cost reduction, timely delivery and consistent quality of products/services by agreement of a comprehensive set of terms and conditions.
- Ensures communication and appropriate use of selected suppliers and negotiated contracts among all business units
- Manage subcontracts resulting from competitions, valued up to £20M spend across all business units
- Implement appropriate supplier management processes to drive selected suppliers within assigned categories towards world class performance. Serve as focal point for the supplier relationship.
- Manage and improve supplier performance including Global reviews with common suppliers
- Support commodities team across all business units, in relation to purchasing queries and major negotiations in respect to commodity
- Co-ordinate with other Commodity Managers in this Domain
- Manage service delivery for Proximity area ensuring other key departments are involved ie. Supply Chain, Finance etc
- Work with stakeholders to improve end to end processes
- Develop and implement local and Group initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce low value-add contribution
- Professional accreditation (eg MCIPS) an advantage (not essential)
- Excellent negotiation skills (essential)
- Excellent terms and conditions knowledge and contract drafting (essential)
- IT market knowledge (essential)
- Management experience within an European cultural environment
- Project and risk management experience
- Additional language skills would be an advantage (French, Italian, German preferred)
