Introduction
Our client develops scientific experiments for research in space focused on the International Space Station and other microgravity environments as well as satellite development. They are currently looking for an Electronic Systems Engineer to work on the Proba-3 Satellite.
Job description:
You are responsible for the electronics/software development within the framework of an instrument or satellite. You take care of the technical coherence and determine the project approach. You guide the technical team in close consultation with the project manager. You translate the requirements of the customer into technical specifications. You can think conceptual, work out solutions and take decisions.
Essential Experience
You have a master degree in electronics or similar by experience.
Experience in satellite engineering (the electronic aspects of these satellites)
Experience in electronics and software is an obvious asset.
You like to take initiative.
You are a real team player and can co-ordinate/direct technical project tasks.
Good communication skills, system level view, be able to become the customer interface for technical discussions,
You have a strong analytical mind. You are creative and can suggest, implement/guard solutions.
You are fluent in English. Ability to speak Dutch is a bonus.
Previous experience in one of the following domains is an asset:
*Solar power and battery management
*RF communication (S- & X-band)
*Micro-electronics
*Manufacturing of electronics for space
*Radiation effects on electronic components
