Finance/Cost Analyst - London - £200 per day - 6 months contract +
My client a high profile financial services organisation has a fantastic opportunity for a Decision Support Analyst to join their team based in Central London. The successful candidate will provide support to the Commercial Decision Support team to develop the management Information produced by the team.
Responsibilities include:
*To analyse the current cost allocation methodology providing a comprehensive analysis of the benefits and drawbacks as well as recommendations for the future.
*To analyse the current cost allocation methodology and design and develop a suitable cost allocation for the future of the company
*To design and develop a suitable allocation model for the future of the company.
*To develop the reporting for all categories to provide improved and easy to maintain analysis for costs
*To educate the Decision Support community and the Business on the allocation of costs
*To develop the current financial reporting for the month end and forecasting process from the Commercial business area. Developing a reporting suite for the business, to ensure the management information is adding value and providing relevant information to management.
*Play a key role in 'team' ethos and ensure engagement and a co-ordinated approach across the team.
*Identification and where possible resolution of key business risks and issues.
*To share best practice across the Decision Support community to ensure the function as a whole develops its abilities and qualities.
Essential Experience:
Key Competencies/level
Business:
*Experience in development of activity based costing models/cost allocation model
*Experience in development of MI suites to support reporting requirements
Technical:
*Part/Newly Qualified Accountant
*Strong financial analytical and modelling skills and use of Excel
*Interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships
