Job Title: Business Analyst/Quality Assurance
Location: Troy, MI
SALARY: $65K to $67K to go PERM ( this is a temp to perm position)
Position Summary
To build, document, test, and implement automated solutions and reporting in support of all departments, this includes new functionality as well as enhancements to existing functionality. Assure the accurate and on time delivery of reports to all major functional areas in the company. Gather requirements for new reports and maintain the integrity of existing reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Gather required functional documentation needed; act as primary liaison between business users and development. Participate in inter-departmental automation projects.
2. Participate in corporate projects for code and reporting enhancements through building, testing, and implementation of Business Requirements Documents. Creation and execution of detailed testing plans that will analyze, test, research, and resolve all new/enhanced system solutions.
3. Act as subject matter expert on all applications and reports. This entails learning table structure, data population rules, and GUI interface.
4. Suggest improvements and/or enhancements to existing processes (system or reporting based) in order to improve efficiencies. This could be self-initiated or as a response to an idea presented by an end user.
5. Implement user-requested reports as well as corporate project reports. This includes requirements gathering, creation, and delivery of the reports.
6. Provide companywide training on reporting related interfaces.
7. Act as a data steward to ensure data integrity by monitoring exception reporting and providing requirements for any system clean-ups.
8. Troubleshoot any application issues/breaks presented by end users.
9. Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
1. 4 years experience creating and executing test cases
2. 4 years experiencing troubleshooting end user issues
3. 3-5 years programming in SQL
4. 2-3 years Business Objects (or equivalent) experience
5. 1-2 years Web Intelligence report design experience
6. 1 year SharePoint experience a plus
7. Familiarity with Desktop Clients
8. Familiarity with OLAP tools
9. Intermediate level knowledge on Word, Excel, and Access
