Segula Technologies is currently seeking a User Interface Developer for a contract opportunity in Webster, NY!

Experienced individual to participate in the creation, development, prototyping and validation of human interface/systems structure, behavior, and graphic designs for digital systems and products.

Candidates must function as part of a part of a cross-functional design team and employ a user-centered design methodology to develop new and derivative user interface designs.

Required skills:
Work with end-users and product development team members to elicit and understand user and functional system requirements;
Conduct competitive benchmarking activities to determine and provide recommendations regarding best-of-breed designs;
Perform task analyses/workflow analyses of existing and emerging user work practices;
Conduct heuristic evaluations of systems and designs;
Create flow diagrams, logical models, screen layouts and prototypes using tools such as Visual Basic/Studio, Director, Flash and Photoshop.
Create and maintain user interface design specifications
Develop and deliver visual design elements (eg icons, mimics, etc..) consistent with visual style guide strategies.
Plan and/or conduct usability tests on user interfaces

Education:
BA/BS or MS/MA/MFA in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Multimedia Design, Visual Communication Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or a related field.

Experience:
Course work or experience in computer Workstation design, HCI, visual design, test and evaluation is expected. Proven visual design/development skills and industry standard platform/OS experience is required. Ability to create design concepts an prototype using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Flash, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, Director, and HTML essential. 3-8 years experience.
