Two EGSE Support Engineers are required to work for one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of satellite systems, based in Portsmouth.

Outline Job Profile
This role shall include all efforts required to deliver the EGSE solution, this shall include software and hardware aspects where applicable, or coordinate these disciplines where appropriate.
To provide key metrics data to EGSE Program Manager for inclusion in weekly reports. ie Schedule, costs, hours, risks etc for project specific and generic applications.
Focal point for all deployment activities post design/customisation.
Act as responsible engineer for a given project for a specific activity/solution to accomplish the successful deployment of EGSE.
Attendance at relevant project Go-Meetings and liaise with QA to achieve successful project milestones reviews with associated document inputs.
Production of project specific documentation and reports in line with requirements of EIDP.
First line PTS maintenance and repair; being the interface between operators and suppliers (internal & external)
Possibly join an AIT shift team when required to support critical test phases, including Spacecraft level tests
Assist the Engineering Manager in developing the AIT strategy for support of all PTS.
Develop training modules for use by EGSE operators.

Qualifications, Skills and experience

Essential:
Minimum HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Understanding of RF principles, satellite technology and payload test systems encompassing an automated test equipment environment.
RF principles and equipments - NA, SA, PM, FS, Amplifier, Splitter, MUX, Attenuator, Filter, etc.
Digital Electronics principles
Analogue Electronics principles
Software - LabVIEW, TestStand, ATE Scripting
Database (SQL) understanding
XML knowledge
Synoptic design
ATE (Executive, drivers, tests, etc) Design
Network infrastructure appreciation
Strong broad hardware system design and support experience
Experience of working with RF test equipment to 50 GHz
Knowledge of RF measurement techniques
Previous experience of maintaining complex multi faceted systems
Working within an environment with changing requirements but controlled strictly through an established Quality system.
Experience with ATE philosophies within the RF and digital fields
Clean room experience
Experience in producing written reports, procedures whilst following design processes

Candidates need to be able to travel abroad on occasion, as required.
