Group Capital Actuarial student
Following the recent acquisitions, the size and complexity of the group means that there are significant opportunities to optimise capital efficiency. This might involve any kind of activity including, financial restructuring, Part VII court schemes or future M&A activity.
A senior actuarial student is sought to bolster the team's capability in particular to supporting the complex work required in relation to the with profits funds within the group. The role is Bristol based, with some possible travel to London required.
Specific role:
- Support the delivery of initiatives within the group capital team in relation to with profits funds
- Contribute to the delivery of Board reports and other related deliverables by:
- Sourcing data for the reports
- Calculating figures for inclusion in the reports
- Develop process improvements to ensure the improved efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of future Part VIIs
- Team working with the reporting teams, legal teams and accounting teams to foster a good team spirit and working environment; to be an ambassador for the Group Capital team.
Specific skills & experience:
- Senior student with strong technical ability, including knowledge of UK regulatory environment
- Motivated and able to work pro-actively
- Well organised and confident to communicate with colleagues at more senior level
- Track record of successfully improving analysis and processes
- Ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional environment with colleagues from other professions.
