Job Title - Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities:
Understanding of business data and business requirements Design solution to meet client technical approval Create technical specification for solution Evaluate and select software/products Work with suppliers/governance of suppliers Conduct and governance on supplier Designs/test strategy/unit tests/code/documentation reviews against corporate standards and strategy Work with other areas of technology team in order to realise end to end solution Assist project managers on project planning
You will be an accomplished Solutions Architect with broad experience and understanding of existing and emerging technologies, applications and suppliers, an appreciation of strengths and weakness of different technologies, J2EE, UML, SOA, EAI, Middleware & integration.
Must be able to evaluate software and products against business requirements and turn business requirements into robust technical solutions fitting into corporate standards and strategy.

Additionally you must have excellent interpersonal skills, be business savvy and capable of working with stakeholders. Likely to be degree educated.

Skills/Experience Required:

Mandatory
3+ years experience as a Solutions Architect with broad experience and understanding of existing and emerging technologies, applications and suppliers An appreciation of strengths and weakness of different technologies, J2EE, SOA, EAI Good understanding of Middleware & integration challenges including SAP Ability to evaluate software and products against business requirements Ability to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions fitting into corporate standards and strategy Excellent interpersonal skills Business savvy and capable of working with stakeholders Ability to model solutions using UML tools

Desirable:
Knowledge of Business, Applications, and Infrastructure architectures Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts/theories for various projects Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent Motor industry experiences an asset

Desirable Software Knowledge: Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect VISIO, SAP Oracle, DB2 XML, and Other Common Data File Formats
