An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Export Documentation Administrator with our client in Nailsea, a world leading Oil and Gas company.

Purpose:
Undertake an audit of export transactions to confirm the existence of appropriate export evidence.

Principal Accountabilities:
* Perform an audit of export transactions to confirm the existence of appropriate export evidence for goods sold;
* Identify/trace transactions where evidence is incomplete or appears to be missing;
* Follow up with the Exporter of Record/customer or internal teams to secure relevant documentation where required;
* Report regularly to management team and VAT manager on audit progress and potential exposures.

Decision-Making:
* Interpret sales order information associated with export transactions and devise approach to confirm where documentary export evidence may be incomplete;
* Decide how, when and who to contact to obtain information required.

Special Challenges:
* Communicate clearly and professionally across different teams within the organisation and with customers, obtaining information from staff from a non-finance background where necessary;
* Adapt to, and work within, the organisation's Matrix structure;
* Progress audit quickly and accurately; be able to present and explain results professionally.

Contractor Ideal/Special Experience:
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* Part-qualified accountant or equivalent by experience;
* Knowledge of UK VAT export requirements
* Knowledge of UK export documentation
* Good communication skills; able to persuade and communicate effectively and in confidence with both finance and non-finance staff;
* Team player committed to work positively with other (remote) locations with limited supervision;
* Strong Excel skills
* Fluency in English
