Futuristic Program Manager
Start ASAP
2 month 10 month contract

Role:
Manage the specification, design, and development of demonstration consumer scenario vignettes presented within a strategic briefing facility containing detailed immersive spaces depicting workplace, public, and private home environments.
Starting with descriptive scenarios that include settings, actions, and functions, work iteratively with user experience, graphic, and digital model designers, as well as computer program developers to write actionable application and prop specifications that include storyboards and presentation scripts.
Manage development of computer applications on PC and mobile platforms, as well as construction of hardware or set props.

Group Culture:
We are a small team of 10 FTEs (program managers, a design lead, and SDEs) who build demos depicting future technology scenarios for executive presentations.
We have operated the current future-vision facility since 1994.

We are building a new version of a future-vision briefing and demo facility in our clients center.
Start: Dec 2011, Standard daytime working hours, contract: Dec 2011 through September 2012

Required Skills:
Experience with leading-edge computer user-interfaces and user-experiences, such as Natural-User-Interfaces, avatars, and Real Time 3D modeled environments required.
Experience with tradeshow or museum exhibits that feature software or are computer-controlled a plus.
Experience with on-stage product presentations, theatrical and video productions a plus.
Candidate must be comfortable working in a small, dynamic group.
Candidate must be expert in managing project trade-offs to meet schedule.
Candidate should have a natural interest in technology and familiar with major information technology industry developments and trends.
Gaming background is helpful
Movie and television productions experience is helpful
Must be able to provide portfolio and previous examples of work
