The Georgia Department of Community health is seeking the services of an Analyst to join the State of Georgia's ICD-10 project to bring the Georgia MMIS into compliance with the new HIPAA standards.
The responsibilities of the analyst within this project are:
Research root cases of problems with contributed data and lead effort to Remedy the issue with contributor
Provide coding oversight and serve as a reference for ICD 10 coding project
Work with business stakeholders to develop and track metrics necessary to monitor data quality provide detailed reports to support cleanup of data (manual and automated)
Develop and manage reporting of coding information necessary to support code changes and management and compliance
Design, develop and present finding of complex data queries necessary to fully understand data quality issues/opportunities.
Use commercial data quality tools (DRG Grouper, Business Objects, etc) to analyze, improve and control data quality
Create test cases/test scripts, perform system testing and document test results
Create test scenarios and review with business lead for DCH, Office of Inspector General Division
Conduct end-to-end web application testing, including unit tests, system integration tests and user acceptance testing.
Log any issues/defects encountered during test cycles and conduct fix verification
Oversee development and execution of code changes in performance tests
Skill Set Requirements:
Extensive working knowledge of ICD 9 and knowledge of ICD 10
Able to use 3M software to configure DRG and ICD 10 codes
Knowledgeable of Georgia Medicaid current DRG coding and use of ICD 9 codes
Able to produce and validate test cases for ICD-10 project
Experience as a Medical Records Master Coder
Three years experience working with a state Medicaid program
Experience with Medicaid regulations and business processes
