DESCRIPTIONThe IT Project Manager oversees the remote monitoring and wireless projects at various sites. Will manage IT projects from initiation through close-out, as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule, and objectives. Provide leadership for IT project team members and the Project Management process. Generally for projects requiring integration of multiple functional organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and mentor other Project Managers.
- Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects.
- Project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations.
- Directly accountable for the management of projects with an aggregate annual cash flow of over $3 million.
- IT project management of strategic and tactical projects.
- Responsible for overall project delivery including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversight of a contracted project network architect/engineer.
- Interface with Project Manager assigned to the effort.
- Maintain technical expertise and provide project oversight in support of network and communications upgrades.
- Perform financial management for overall project.
- Develop material lists and sourcing channels.
- Perform vendor management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Technical or Management Discipline with 10 years overall experience of which 6 years have been as a project team member OR 12 years of directly applicable industry experience, 6 years of which must be in the field of management of projects AND PMP Certification.
- Strong documentation skills are required to support white papers, position papers and network drawings.
- Hands-on use of Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint experience required.
Advanced project management skills are desirable. - Expected to travel to various sites in support of the project work.
