Description
This organisation provides a series of solutions including integration, engines and systems to almost every type of aircraft in used globally in commercial, business, military, space and airport operations.
They are now looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and verify embedded software for aerospace applications on specific projects. This is an opportunity to start an assignment that will run for the entire life cycle of the project, from initial development through verification to release.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications
* Support and/or install software applications/operating systems
* Participate in the testing process, test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
Mandatory experience:
* A thorough understanding of DO178B
* Solid understanding of the 'C' programming language
* Experience of developing and verifying software for embedded aerospace applications
Desirable experience:
* DOORS
* ClearCase / ClearQuest
* System Architect and/or Rhapsody
* VectorCAST
* QA C and/or LDRA Test Bed
* Development of assembly language code for the TMS320C40 DSP.
