Infrastructure Strategy Manager - Shared Services
Balfour Beatty Plc are undergoing significant, growth-driven change. A key enabler of the change will be the development of shared infrastructure services and standards across global Divisions and Operating Companies. An experienced, Infrastructure Senior Analyst/Strategy Manager is sought to work within Group IT to assist in this development, supporting the creation of a Common Infrastructure Roadmap in collaboration with business unit IT.
Main Purpose of the Job
Support development of the Common Infrastructure Roadmap working with Group & OpCo IT strategic management to coordinate key deliverables including;
Identification and categorisation of Group, Divisional and OpCo requirements
Identification of required IT shared services and standards to meet common requirements
Establish business cases to establish required shared services
Common convergence path to achieve target state
Key Responsibilities/Duties
1. Work within Group IT Shared Infrastructure Services supporting development of the Group's Global Infrastructure strategy through the Common Infrastructure Roadmap.
2. Engage with Group & OpCo IT management to identify and categorise set of consolidated challenged' change requirements to enable business strategy.
3. Validate requirements against existing services and programme portfolio, ensuring exploitation of existing services where possible.
4. Work with Group and OpCo strategy and architect functions to develop optimised set of shared services and standards to meet business requirements
5. Conduct IT service and technology strategic options analysis identifying and applying appropriate process, tools and techniques.
6. Support the IT strategy and financial planning process, including development of budgets and cost models for the Common Infrastructure Roadmap.
7. Support establishment of shared services through business case development, including strategy development and stakeholder presentations.
8. Lead specified shared service strategy development initiatives including engagement and management of third party professional services.
9. Support development of structured business systems change management and business analysis approach and process within Group IT.
Must Have Knowledge & Skills
Educated to degree level or appropriate business experience
Experience of IT strategy development, preferably structured approach
Expertise and experience in applying structured analysis techniques and models
Experience of operating as Senior Analyst/IT Manager within large, federated multinational
Experience of lead analysis on infrastructure change programmes
Must be able to work as part of a team
Excellent communications skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills
