Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Systems Analyst will work with internal business clients as well as other senior architects, analysts and developers to analyze, architect and design solutions for the Business Intelligence department. He/she will analyze business processes and needs in the areas of business rules, analytics and data consumption, and design and document solutions.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who has demonstrated successful experience in an enterprise development environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Liaise with business clients and technology partners to understand business and system requirements
Analyze and document current and future state of systems
Create logical and innovative solutions to solve complex problems
Architect and design new systems or replacement of existing systems or components
Translate the solutions into architecture diagrams and systems documents to be consumed by the business and technology staff
Create presentations for these clients
Coordinate technology initiatives for the department
Design implementation plan for the initiatives and solutions
Oversee the implementation of the plans, including new system rollout or migration path
Plan and work flexibly to meet deadlines
Assist with training of users of systems
Keep up to date with technical and industry sector developments
SKILLS:

Strong knowledge and experience with system analysis, architecture and design
Extensive experience with creating systems requirements, architecture and design specifications
Understanding of SOW theory and concepts with practical experience
Understanding of rules-based analytical systems and lifecycle
Understanding of enterprise decision management concepts and methodology
Experience with database architecture, design and development
Understanding of enterprise data warehouse, integration and lifecycle
Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling preferred
Understanding of data mining and predictive analytics preferred
Broad experience with Business Intelligence technologies a plus
Understanding of enterprise ETL technologies a plus
Knowledge of Business Process Management theory and concepts with practical experience
Experience with knowledge management, business rules management, metadata and master data management a strong plus
Experience with .NET and J2EE platforms
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies, eg, SQL, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS, etc.
Working experience with agile development process and project management principals and artifacts
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent organization skills to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
Dedicated to complete assignments under deadlines
Ability to mentor team members on architecture, design solutions and development lifecycle management
Highly motivated to develop mortgage business knowledge

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 8 years of professional software experience, including development
At least 3 years of enterprise systems analysis and architecture experience, including SOA
At least 3 year of experience in enterprise data warehouse, Business Intelligence or analytics applications
At least 3 years of experience with enterprise software development lifecycle, including Agile

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields
At least 3 year of experience with .Net, J2EE platforms and Microsoft SQL Server
