Our Client is requesting quotes for a Senior Network Engineer with advanced experience in
implementing, configuring and supporting CISCO ASA Firewalls, ability to create complex network drawings and provide senior level network engineering support within our IT division. The consultant will be working within the IT infrastructure team. Sound Transit will be re-architecting and re-implementing core network infrastructure systems to better utilize the technology, provide scalability and build a network infrastructure to support disaster recovery for various networks within the agency. The individual must also be able to create documentation/run books as part of the delivery of this engagement.
Planned projects for this scope of work include:
Implement CISCO ASA Firewalls
Re-architect and configure ISPs to provide redundancy
Create/update network drawings
Develop and maintain infrastructure standards; work closely with IT staff to mentor and train on
utilization of tools
Create and provide installation documentation of all products being installed and configured.
Provide training to IT Staff.
All candidates must meet the minimum qualifications in order to be considered for this scope of work.
Candidates that do not meet all of the following minimum qualifications will be disqualified:
5+ years of directly related experience in network analysis, design and administration.
Architecture and engineering experience with datacenters, enterprise environments, security, and multitiered environments.
Cisco ASA Firewall and VPN experience
Experienced in configuring and troubleshooting ACL's.
Cisco Secure ACS experience
Experience with Network Documentation, including creating maps with Visio.
Experience and Knowledge
Cisco VPN Remote access. Tunnels, client setup, and AD authentication. On VPN Concentrator and
ASA devices.
Experience with VOIP, Network Monitoring (Solar Winds) and wireless Networking (WCS)
Understanding of PCI, SOX and SCADA regulations, and how they apply to network and security
architecture.
Understanding of Metro Ethernet and IDS systems and Ethernet over fiber
Strong understanding of MPLS, BGP
Working in an environment with multiple networks
Working cross-discipline and independently with little to no direction.
Translation of PIX conduits and ACL to ASA.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
Strong communications skills to coordinate with co-workers, customers, and vendors
Highly Desired
Microsoft Certification; CCIE, CCNA, CCNP
Experience with network security such as ASA Firewalls, intrusion detection systems
Experience working in a environment where IT Service Management tools are utilized (ITIL or similar
recognized industry framework)
Significant production experience supporting core and edge Routers and Switches.
