Scientific Advisor/Medical Advisor - Speciality Care BU/Endocrinology

Reporting to a European Medical Team Leader, Scientific Advisers/Medical advisors will be responsible for ensuring that all materials delivered to countries by the European Speciality Asset Teams accurately communicate product knowledge, are appropriate for use and meet general technical standards for European markets.

Working within the cross-functional Speciality Care Business Unit (SCBU) the Adviser will support the development of product promotion and communications strategies, information collation and provision to the European markets and review of promotional material. The Scientific Adviser will provide evaluated, balanced information about products to key stakeholders and through cross-functional team working, ensure that key marketing strategies and activities are successfully implemented to achieve business objectives. The Scientific Adviser will also be required to develop a detailed understanding of pan- European regulations and codes relevant to the promotion of human pharmaceuticals and act as an advisory resource.

Responsibilities
Operational and strategic support:

* As part of the cross-functional SCBU, actively participate in all activities designed to provide excellence in information provision and observance of regulations and company standards.
* Provide scientific expertise to the SCBU, generating insights and playing a key role in strategic planning to identify information gaps and options for generating evidence.
* Support the planning and development of promotional materials and educational campaigns through data provision, evaluation and assessment of scientific content, ensuring that data are used and presented in an appropriate way whilst supporting the commercial needs of the European countries.
* Ensure the medical accuracy of materials, their compliance with product licenses and relevant codes of practice and that referencing is relevant and accurate.

Qualifications
University degree in Science, Pharmacy or Health Sciences, or corresponding medical qualification (or equivalent).
Solid experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, clinical or related field.
Highly motivated Scientist with solid knowledge of medical marketing, clinical research and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Experience of promotional review in Europe.
If possible, clinical experience.
