We are a recruitment company and we are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist
to work in the community.
Our client is looking for experienced Occupational Therapists who have community rehabilitation/re-enablement and or social services experiences to join this new team.
Working in the Access and Assessment Team, the OT's role will be to carry out re-enablement assessments in conjunction with the care agency providers, devise individual re-enablement programmes, undertake weekly reviews and modify and update care plans as needed.
Good communication skills are essential as this new project will require close working partnership with the care providers, the individual service users and their carers.
Work will also include provision of specialist equipment, telecare and referral on to community support services.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Must be registered with Health Professions Council (HPC)
- Experience of working with older people and people with mental health or physical disabilities
- The ability to build strong working partnerships;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Decision making and organisational skills;
- The ability to explain, and encourage and build confidence;
- The ability to create a rapport with a range of people, especially people with disabilities. Health and Safety
- Awareness of health & safety issues Personal Protective Equipment
- Must be of smart appearance.
