This international industry leader has an immediate 6+ month contract opening in Somers, NY for an Informatica ETL Developer. This position requires a local candidate experienced with Informatica ETL, DB2, Data Integration, Oracle, and UNIX.
This position is primarily responsible for support, maintenance and administration of the Data Integration Environments and Infrastructure. This currently includes Informatica, Ab Initio and SAP Data Services (especially data quality). In addition, the candidate will leverage Informatica development experience to consult with application teams on related topics and may perform small development projects. Must be able to design, document, develop, test, install and support complex data extract, transformation and load (ETL) programs. This person will be responsible for designing, coding and testing changes various data environments. Work various teams to maintain and enhance systems. This person will work in conjunction with other IT/development and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security and integration requirements from the database perspective, and translate these requirements into functional, scalable and reusable components within the respective development framework. Common packages development platforms are (Informatica, MS-DTS, Teradata, Oracle)
Will be responsible for enforcing data integration standards and best practices; supporting Data Management and/or Datawarehouse projects; analyze, design, code, and test highly efficient, robust, scalable integration solutions using Informatica, UNIX Korn Shell Scripting, and/or SQL (potentially MQ and/or Java); prepare, maintain, and publish documentation including business transform logic, operational run guides, and support infrastructures. Strong verbal communications and analytical skills required.
