Electronic Design Engineer

To £350 day, 12 - 18 months+

Fantastic opportunity for a bright and willing Electronic Design Engineer to work within a team of 6 in the R&D department of this AIM listed company. Client are UK owned but with USA offices. Expanding from their existing team of 60 the product is being rolled out to a global market. This is a very exciting time for the company with long term contract possibility for the successful Electronic Design Engineer.

The Electronic Engineer must have a minimum 8yrs commercial experience and be comfortable with electronic design CAD packages, assembly & test. The role of the Electronic Engineer will be to convert existing electronic designs on to a single board. Further, you will be required to help support the senior electronics engineer in designing new state-of-the-art innovative products including capacitive touchscreen panels, LCD displays and redesign of audio amplifier within a defence arena.

Your key responsibilities as electronic design engineer:

  • CAD electronic circuit design experience (OrCAD, CADstar, PSpice, Eagle or similar)
  • Schematic changes to board with new design (including PCB layout design)
  • Circuit design and new circuitry
  • CPLD/FPGA programming
  • Real Time hardware and software design for Embedded processors
  • Maintaining existing electronic products (both Analogue and Digital)
  • Document writing of electronic products (attention to detail v. important)
  • Support in manufacturing for products including sourcing of necessary components
  • Liaising with suppliers

Must be British National with SC Clearance as working in military environment.
