DESCRIPTIONThe Sourcing Analyst will support sourcing and spend analysis activities for its assigned projects and categories. The Sourcing Analyst reports to a Sourcing Manager and work closely with its direct management, sourcing managers, as well as key internal customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support for Sourcing Managers as they execute sourcing projects to generate required savings
- Analyzing data in support of sourcing events and initiatives
- Understanding data sources and proactively seeks ways to improve data accuracy and integrity
- Conducting market and supplier research in support of sourcing strategies
- Coordinating the execution of supplier Non-Disclosure agreements through legal organization
- Developing and maintaining RFx documentation in support of sourcing initiatives
- Assisting with the development of RFx scoring models for sourcing initiatives
- Participating as the department resource for all tactical procurement requirements related to US initiatives
- Supporting deployment and transition activities
- Following and creating project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestones for associated projects
- Developing technical efficiency with Ariba licensed sourcing software, including customized sourcing sites for each event and providing technical support to bidders
- Assisting with managing data import and export functionality
- Providing and customizing reports
- Developing technical efficiency with spend analysis and visibility tools, to create spend analyses, determine baseline spend and calculate realized savings from sourcing events
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 1-4 years experience in strategic sourcing or commensurate experience
- Ability to follow procurement best practices, including supplier negotiations, selection, evaluation, management, and development; hands on experience
- Ability to build positive working relationships both internally and externally
- Strong analytical abilities, including ability to leverage Excel, Access and other quantitative analysis tools
- Basic project management skills, including understanding how to plan for own work in reasonable time frame and break tasks into achievable sub-tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication
SKILLS
Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field required. 1 - 4 years experience in strategic sourcing or commensurate experience in related functions.
