We are searching for a Project Manager with at least 5 years experience leading medium and high complexity IT infrastructure and telecommunications projects

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for directing the efforts of multiple cross-functional project teams to achieve clearly defined results operating within the agreed upon time, budget, and specifications of each project. This position is responsible for assembling the project team, developing the work plan and managing expectations, deliverables and results of all internal and external project resources for the roles and activities defined in the plan. The Project Manager communicates project status and risks to all project stakeholders and manages the change process for each assigned project. The Project Manager also provides specific performance feedback to the respective resource managers with resources assigned to the project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Lead a project team to devise and maintain a workable scheme to accomplish the need that the project was undertaken to address.
  • Collect and analyze project information to determine where the project stands and take corrective action to eliminate negative deviations from the plan.
  • Identify, analyze, and respond to risks over the course of the project - including minimizing the consequences of adverse events and maximizing the results of positive events.
  • Demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills, communicating project related status information effectively and exhibiting active listening skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to get things done" - including effectively using the formal and informal structures of all organizations involved.
  • Encourage and enable resources to work together as a team to accomplish the project and depend on each other for success.
  • Manage interactions between the customer, any appropriate external organizations, and the rest of the project team to achieve good customer relations where both parties are enthusiastic about the relationship.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of general management practices including finance, accounting, strategic and tactical planning, organizational behavior, managing work relationships through motivation, delegation, supervision, conflict management, and managing personal responsibilities through personal time management and stress management.

JOB EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • BS or BBA in Information Technology related field preferred or have considerable work experience in the application of information technologies.
  • 5-10 years project management experience or demonstrated project management skills - including project planning, project control, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels and work in a team atmosphere.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the project management areas of competency, procedures, and methodology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT project life cycle processes.
  • Ability to effectively lead/facilitate project planning and process definition meetings
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects & tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and especially Project.

PREFERRED SKILLS
