Finance Manager- 4 Month Contract (£18-20 ph)
Harvey Nash's public sector client in Edinburgh is looking for an experienced and capable Finance Manager to hold responsibility for their professional financial and management accounting function.
The role will involve overseeing the day to day operations of the finance team in order to ensure service delivery is maintained. Responsibilities include, advising senior management on financial operating procedures, controlling and developing budgets as well as contributing to the long term planning process or the organisation.
In order to fulfil this role successfully you must have:
A strong financial background
Experience in managing a department in a multi-dimensional organisation
Qualified accountant or with significant equivalent experience
In depth knowledge of accounting procedures, standards and related legislation
Capability in strategic staff leadership
Strong communication and negotiating skills
High level IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft packages
