VMware Systems Engineer
Amoria Bond is currently recruiting for a VMware Systems Engineer to ensure the smooth running of their VMware environment to join the growing virtualisation team for our client based in the Netherlands. The position is on a contract basis for a period of 6 months.
This position requires the ability to execute on projects independently and be able to implement highly technical solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in challenging and fast paced environment.
In order to be considered for the VMware Systems Engineer position you need to demonstrate:
* Knowledge of VMware based systems and application deployments.
* Record of designing a Virtualisation environment, VMware ESX or XEN.
* Provide reports for VMware services to ensure availability of those environments.
* Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex server and application-based problems.
* Provide ongoing expertise in maintenance and improvement of server provisioning practices and processes.
* Assist with the Improvement of infrastructure monitoring and reporting.
* Bring innovative ideas and change to the organization by thinking out of the box to solve complex problems.
* Work with other operations teams to implement new solutions and services
* Understand industry best practices and be able to develop processes and documentation accordingly.
* Provided Level 2 and 3 technical support for large virtual environments using VI3 and VSphere* Experience with multiple server platforms including HP, Dell, and IBM as well as blade Servers.
* In depth understanding of monitoring tools for Servers and networks.
* Basic understanding of database and messaging technologies.
* Must have a good understanding of security concepts and best practices.
* Background of working in a vibrant, critical systems environment.
I can only accept candidates that hold valid passports to work in the Netherlands. Also, the most suitable candidates will have previous experience working in the Netherlands and be willing to work via the Dutch payroll system due to contract duration.
