Description
Leading Global Solutions provider has an immediate requirement for a WebSphere specialist for a contract role based in Dublin. You will have strong WAS skills along with good Message Broker and MQ experience.Main Responsibilities:
Installation and configuration of AIX and WebSphere Application Server
Installation and configuration of WebSphere Application Server application code
Liasing with development teams for successful deployment of application code.
Building AIX LPARs
. WebSphere MQ support.
Install verification/check implementation
Actively manage workload to deliver to customer and security requirements
Execute manual Health Checks, following requirements as documented
Analyse/assess and evaluate Health Check deviations
Corrective actions on Health Check deviations
Desired Skills & Experience:
WebSphere Application Server V7 & V6 Installation and Configuration
WebSphere Application Server V7 & V6 application code installation
AIX system administration
pSeries administration
Shell/Perl Scripting
. Knowledge of WMQ 6 & 7 on both windows and unix (preferably AIX) environment
. Knowledge of WMQ in windows cluster and/or AIX hacmp cluster
. Knowledge of WebSphere Message Broker 6 on unix (preferably AIX)
. Knowledge of Message Broker in AIX hacmp cluster
. Knowledge of Java JREs and JDKs
. Familiarity with Java and connectivity to oracle and SQL databases
. Experience with Scripting on both windows and AIX and use of CVS source control
Some travel within the greater Dublin area may be required.
