Job Description:
As Information System Specialist, you perform the following tasks:
- To ensure continuity and cohesion in the maintenance of the applications under your responsibility. This covers among others: the resolution of incidents, the management of the life cycle of the application, the release management of the application and the follow-up of changes to the application.
- You are responsible for accepting changes to application(s).
- You give functional and technical support and communicate the required information to all stakeholders.
- Advisor for new projects. This covers amongst others: solution proposals, workload estimations, integration of solutions in the process of maintenance and releases.
- Documentation and knowledge management: ensure that the applicative documentation is up-to-date; make sure that sufficient knowledge of the application is available in the team.
As Information System Specialist, you must be able to:
- Write analysis reports, document business processes.
- Program reports with Crystal Report, MS Office Excel and Access.
- Develop and maintain interfaces.
- Analyse and operate migration and implementation strategies.
- Improve and maintain applications as part of the ERP system.
- Gather and follow up relevant developments in order to evaluate their relevancy to business processes.
- Analyse existing business processes for improvements.
- Willing to travel (a few days abroad on an assignment).
Qualification/Skills:
Master degree, preferably in an IT related domain, or equivalent through experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Office Excel and MS Office Access is essential
- Basic knowledge of Crystal Report, HTML, Java, SQL, SQL server, XML is considered an important asset
