SAS Administrator Needed in Frederick, MD
Acts as an experienced technical resource for security, infrastructure and SAS administration efforts. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and software applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and participates and offers feedback on the testing and implementation of the business continuation plan, system modifications and performance tuning. Develops and implements security models in SAS Management Console to be consistent with corporate policies, server best practices and standard operating procedures. Troubleshoots and supports server environment. Provides system design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or re-design complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code.
Requirements:
- 7+ years systems development and implementation experience
- 5+ years SAS background (including installation, configuration, testing, debugging)
- Experience working with Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, and Enterprise Business Intelligence
- Experience in security and workspace administration in SAS Management Console
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self motivated, independent worker with good organization, analytical and problem solving skills
- 5+ years experience working with UNIX
- 3+ years experience working with CRON scripts and or Autosys
- Experience with SAS 9.1.3, SAS 9.2 and higher
- Experience with SAS Grid technology, Base SAS, Enterprise Miner, Enterprise Guide, SPDS
- Experience with SAS Design and Development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
