My client is a Major Investment Bank who is looking for a Trading Credit Risk Control Exposure Management Analyst to join their team for an initial 3 month contract.

Duties:
Exposure Management and Control ensures that the reported numbers are an accurate reflection of the credit exposures arising from trading activities. A key part of the role is the timely reporting of excess positions to Credit/Relationship Managers and the Front Office.
Daily identification and investigation, follow up and clearance of excess positions for all products, liaising with the Front Office, RMs, Credit Officers and the Facilitation Team, Front Office Credit Management. Involving maintenance of Excel/Access databases detailing all excesses according to type, size and duration and producing regular excess statistics as a measurement/control tool.
Daily identification and investigation of trades requiring manual overwrites, calculation of exposure numbers, maintenance of data on systems, review and action of trigger reports.
Daily review of control reports to determine and implement appropriate action. Liaising with Back and Middle Office teams to ensure that trades are properly linked and static data is accurate
Provision of management information requiring the production of various daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports involving the collation, maintenance and presentation of management information.
Daily maintenance of the integrity of the limit databases within FM for non FM customers to ensure credit limits are accurately recorded, verifying the consistency of limits back to original systems.
Identify system issues and enhancements and work closely with Risk It to specify requirements and undertake detailed user acceptance testing prior to change release.

Must have:
Be a subject matter expert on the credit risk systems and have a good understanding of the key credit risks associated with all the products traded by GBM as well as how the credit utilisation numbers are calculated and displayed in the systems.
Must be a good team player, who is happy to assist other team members when required.
Dealing in a high pressured environment, so must get on well with others and show
good attention to detail whilst being able to think on their feet.
Proactive and self-motivated.
