About the Position:
Joining a team of 10 Infrastructure Engineers you will be responsible for looking after the Test Environment primarily consisting of Solaris and Red Hat Linux. Working across a number of test and development environments you will provide 4th level Systems Administration tasks and some Oracle Database Administration.
Responsibilities:
- 3rd/4th level Support for Solaris and Linux OS
- Some Oracle DBA
- Assist in Project work as it comes through
- Support, defect analysis and resolution of environment technology issues across test and development
- Work with Architects on detailed designs
- Develop, deploy and improve specific technologies aligned with the delivery of the Engineering program of work.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal stakeholders where applicable
Required Skills:
- Strong Background in Systems Administration (Solaris and Linux)
- Some experience in Oracle Database implementation, management and level 3 diagnosis - highly preferred
- Appreciation of compute and storage infrastructure, as utilized n the test/model environments
- Some knowledge in network engineering (network Switches, Firewalls, server load balancers)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all stakeholders and Online groups.
