Job description:
Position is part time, weekends: Saturdays 7am - 7pm, Sundays 6am - 2pm and Holidays (excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter).
The successful candidate will be required to efficiently operate and control enterprise computer hardware in an IBM z/OS environment. Perform batch and online functions in accordance with procedures established by the Company. Documented experience with z/OS and JES2 operator console commands, TSO/SDSF and OS JCL knowledge required. Must be able to utilize automated job scheduler tool to closely monitor batch production schedules and assure timely completion of batch cycle window. Responsibilities will also include documentation and reporting of observed problems or incidents and printing of production output on Xerox Laser printer. Candidate should have good problem determination and resolution skills. Position will require candidate to work closely with Systems personnel in both Mainframe and open systems environments in carrying our various duties associated with operation of Mainframe, server, and desktop/laptop computers and associated peripheral devices. Knowledge of Xerox and check printers preferred. Perform other related duties as typical of the position.
Additional responsibilities may include;
Loading of a static pre-configured image onto a laptop computer for end user delivery, along with some inventory record keeping.
