Mechanical Design Engineer - Norway*Minimum bachelor degree as Mechanical Engineer/design or similar
*At least 5-10 years' experience with design of down hole equipment, with special attention to packers and/or cementing equipment
*Fully capable of performing hand calculations and analysis of ongoing construction. Be able to use Ansys for all ongoing analysis.
*Material selection; be able to perform a good material selection that is suitable for the product.
*Long experience in using Autodesk Inventor 3D software in daily work and Autodesk Vault or similar program
*Make design that is possible/easy to use and operate both for workshop (maintenance) and our clients
*Knowledge to industry standards such as ISO, Nace and API.
*Be able to perform given tasks analytic to prove the finish design theoretically towards internal and external clients
*Preparing technical information package on finish product, such as technical data books, tech units
*Be a contributor to create an innovative environment in Oil Tools
*Technical support toward our sales team but also be a part of our technical design review team
*Good communication skills, cooperative attitude, and team player
*Well organized and highly motivated
Options:
*Experience from machining industry or mechanical industry - manufacturing engineering
*Primarily experience from service industry, on-site experience is positive
*Experience from elastomer industry or design of elastomeric components in O&G applications and analysis of same
*Deeper understanding of metallurgy used in our industry with focus on H2S/CO2 applications
