Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience developing Client Server applications using SQL against relational databases,
- Experience writing Stored procedures
- Strong proficiency in C, Unix application development and UDB/DB2 SQL
- Experience with relational database design
- Experience with IBM AIX
- Good exposure to MQ Series messaging
- Exposure to PERL
- Code development experience on large and complex system applications
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience in software design, interface design, coding and Scripting
- Experience supporting mission critical applications
- Strong debugging and testing skills
- High level of initiative and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide high quality code for production use
- Knowledge of all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle

Skills - nice to have in addition:
- Good exposure to Object Oriented programming and design skills (UML, Java, C++)
- Knowledge of - NET or Java web development
- Knowledge of Javascript
- Knowledge of XML
- Knowledge of Weblogic Server 8- x
- Knowledge of PVCS
- Knowledge of C#

Responsibilities:
Existing system - large scale, high volume Client Server system need to be supported- New functionality and new modules need to be written and will be done using OOD, UML, and
applications server.

Major responsibilities are as follows:
- Develop code and maintain applications using a variety of technologies
- Produce good documentation for all aspects of development activities
- Participate in application support on-call rotation duties
- Interface with customers, business partners, internal IT application programmers and internal business contacts for both new development and problem determination/resolution-
- Assure the highest levels of stability, integrity, reliability, security, and availability of the production application environment, consistent with the established change control policies and prescribed procedures.
- Troubleshoot and correct reported problems with software under his/her responsibility-
- Utilize a problem management tool to track open tickets and follow up to resolution and closure.
- Execute special projects or other related duties as required
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle on both new and ongoing projects
- Effectively communicate with other team members, managers and customers both in writing and verbally
