Description
The successful candidate will have experience within the following areas;
General requirements:
*A sound engineering background with a fully indentured apprenticeship is desirable.
*Hands-on inspection experience using conventional measuring equipment Calipers, Micrometers, gauges etc.
*Experience in completing first article inspections to AS9102 preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
*CMM experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
*A "right first time" attitude.
*Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications is essential.
*Knowledge of SAP operating system is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential and the person must be good at working with detail in a logical, organised way.
*Computer literacy is essential (MS Office applications).
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
*Completion of First Article Inspection Reports in line with AS9102 requirements.
*Inspection of Aerospace components in line with customer drawing/specification requirements.
*Support other inspection functions when required.
*In-process inspection activities.
*Ability to drive towards achieving customer quality/delivery requirements.
*Proven capability in creating a "can-do" environment.
*You will be expected to demonstrate a pro-active attitude at all times.
*Ability to liaise daily with management and production teams.
*Ability to pull people from different disciplines together to efficiently resolve issues is essential.
*Adaptability with a robust character.
