Description
My client is a Government Agency looking to recruit a Commercial Officer to place Purchase Orders and Research Contracts to deliver requirements for the Programme Office and Science & Technology business areas of the organisation. The ideal candidate will also provide procurement support and take the lead in defining and interpreting Requirements and writing contracts.
Responsabilities:-
- Assist in delivery of the overall procurement support
- Assist in delivery of business specific procurement
- Use a range of EU compliant procurement routes and tools
- Develop market and comodity intelligence
- For all projects, provide direct support and advice
- Develop strong relationships with key project, programme and business stakeholders
- Use performance assessment to measure procurement and supplier performance
Skills Required
Essential Criteria:-
- Defence contracting experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Effective negotiating, influencing and problem solving skills
- Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- Practical application of EU and Public Procurement Regulations
- SC/DV Clearance ideally
Qualifications Required
Ideal candidates will be MCIPS qualified.
