About the client
The client is a leading supplier of software solutions to the financial services industry in Ireland and across the world.
Overview of the role
- The QA lead will be responsible for working with software development to ensure that applications meet delivery requirements and exceed technical specifications and customer expectations.
- It will involve writing and executing test plans, test cases and test scenarios to improve the quality of the software.
- Will involve organising, prioritising and working through the QA activities to guarantee that products will be released on time.
- Will be responsible for providing test schedules, test results and test reports
- Will be involved in developing, updating and executing test scripts for Black Box testing.
- Will be responsible for implementing and maintaining automated tracking and reporting of software defects
Requirements
- Team lead experience
- Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills
- Strong SQL experience with SQL Server/Oracle DB
- Network based applications proficiency in SQL Extensive knowledge on Web Services (SOAP, REST)
- Experience in performance test benchmarking/troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Jira. Bugzilla or similar tracking software
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium/SOAP UI
