My client a leading International Bank with offices in the Docklands, London seeks an experienced Enterprise Storage Systems Engineer for an initial 6 months contract.
The role will involve providing 2nd and 3rd line support to the business users and systems Dependent on the EMC/NetApp/IBM storage estate, the managing of new requests, incidents or problem tickets within an ITIL framework, proactive management of all storage technologies to vendor best practices and support matrices, maintaining of related operational and support documentation, liaison with 3rd party personnel and vendors, adherence to the ITIL framework principles for processes and procedures in supporting the technologies and provision of a high quality service to end users.
Candidates will be required to have proven extensive Enterprise level IT/IS experience, high level technical support within the financial services industry, Solid understanding of IBM XIV, EMC DMX/VMAX/Clariion, NetApp Enterprise NAS products and their support and operations, solid understanding of vendor operations and management toolsets, understanding of related replication technologies, understanding of EMC AX4 support and operations, understanding of HBA configuration and fibre patching, knowledge of Cisco MDS fabric management, administration and configuration, knowledge of EDL's, EMC Avamar, EMC Data Domain, Networker and Symantec Netbackup products.
