A challenging opportunity has arisen for a high calibre commercial analyst to join my East Midlands based client on an interim basis to complete a specific piece of work. This role requires an immediate start or within short notice.
The role:
Undertaking a discreet piece of work, using a number of different information sources, including liaising with external organisations, you will undertake the analysis necessary to convert the indicative estimated numbers of a particular 'demographic' in the local area into verified 'real' figures. You will then estimate how many of these 'demographics' would already achieve the success criteria within existing or planned provision by 2015. As the data sources will inform the baseline of the project, all documents need to be stored using an agreed management configuration system. The final report, including a good audit trail and explanation of your methodology, should be presented in an easy to understand format for sharing with Partners.
The successful candidate:
You will be an experienced commercial analyst who has proven experience within a complex business environment. You will be a highly numerate and analytical individual who understands the importance of business needs, teamwork and effective collaboration. You will also have the ability to work with minimal supervision and deliver results in a fast paced environment. You should be enthusiastic, energetic and tenacious with excellent communication and ICT skills.
Overview of essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience of working as a commercial analyst
- Skilled at presenting complex data in a user-friendly format
- Experience of working across agencies to source and validate relevant data
- An expert user of Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, as well as having experience of other analytical tools such as MS Project
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills
Experience of working within the public sector is highly desirable.
