Senior Java Developer.
Aston Carter is currently looking for a freelance senior Java Developer for a company (Energy and Utilities sector) in Brussels for a six months mission with the possibility for an extension working in a dynamic team and in an international environment.
Job description
You will be working together in team of 4-6 developers responsible for the development and improvement of software services (within an SaaS model) and working according to Agile methodology. You will be using the latest development technologies like JEE6, JSF, You will take ownership for some specific component of the software solution with focus on the development of web-based Front End, coding in JEE6 and development of automated testing.
Technical skills
Prior experience in development in Java Enterprise applications (JEE5 or preferably JEE6) is a must
OLAP engine or equivalent Datawarehouse technology relevant experience (Jasper BI, Pentaho BI...)
Excellent knowledge of EJB3, JPA, Hibernate, JMS and JSF (or equivalent).
Experience with automated testing (JUnit Testing Framework, Test Driven Development) is a must
Strong experience in at least one of the following: JBoss Seam framework, UML modelling, Real Time monitoring systems, reporting engine like BIRT or JasperReports, high volume databases, NoSQL databases, BPM engine or Event Stream Processing engine
Prior experience with Agile and story writing
Experience in massive data processing, monitoring applications, complex event processing and renewable energy is an asset
