DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
- Analysis of the requirements.
- Prototyping
- Writing/maintenance of applications that reflect the specifications
- Elaboration of test programs
- Definition and integration of technological components
- Integration with other applications
- Production of technical documentation
- Assistance with training the administrators and users of the system.
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
- Assist with evaluating and testing products delivered by other teams to ensure that they conform to the Commission requirements and methodology.
- Participation in meetings with the Commission.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- The technologies involved will be Java, J2EE, JSP, XML/XSL/XSLT, UML, JDBC, SQL and RDBMS.
- Very good knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, JSF, EJB3, JPA, JMS, web services, FTPS, JUnit and design patterns is required.
- The candidate must know very well the automatic handling of electronic documents. It is needed to know tools for creating documents (PDF, Word, Excel), updating or extracting data from existing documents. The candidate must master document formats, their data structure and their handling (eg: revision control).
- Skills about typography, fonts, image formats (bitmap and vectorial), colours, bar codes, page setup, document revision, printing and editing processes are required.
- Applying an appropriate quality assurance: unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, performance testing and code coverage checking.
- Knowledge of ExtJS, Spring, Jira, Ant, Log4J and Bamboo is an asset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS
- The consulting work will involve working at the Commission premises in Brussels.
- The candidate has to have very good knowledge in
- French and in English to write documentation and participate to meetings and users interview.
