Senior Mechanical & Piping Designer - Aberdeen - Mechanical, Piping, Design - Ref: SPDABR

Our client, a global oilfield service provider are looking for a Mechanical & Piping Engineer

The Senior Mechanical and Piping Designer is designated to deliver work as delegated by the Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer.

The main responsibilities of this position are:
Production of CAD design deliverables in accordance with applicable legislation and standards.
Conduct offshore surveys and production of offshore survey reports as required.
Check the work of other designers.
Produce drawings from site sketches to enable manufacture and installation.
Produce Bill Of Materials (BOMs).
Produce Purchase Requisitions.
Provide technical interface with fabricators and subcontractors.
Provide technical input to close-out process (as-builts).
Provide technical input during design phase, with an emphasis on constructability of the design.
Authoring and compilation of Construction Workpack including production of Jobcards and Method Statement. Ensure all aspects of the Statement of Requirement (SOR) and Scope of Work (SOW) are addressed within the workpack.
Interface with QHSE Engineer to ensure all necessary safety content is contained within the workpack.
Identify increase or reduction in scope, raising the necessary support documentation within the Change Management process.
Assist with development of CTRs.
Assist Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer with IDC reviews, and flag up any concerns.
