Cathedral Recruitment is operating as an employment agency, is currently seeking a a Site Sourcing Leader to be based at our clients Chesterfield site on a 12 month contract.

Job Description;
* This position is an integral part of the supply management team working closely with Site Leaders, Commodity Leaders, Region Material Leaders and buyers to maximize the effectiveness, compliance, and management of the Strategic and tactical Sourcing function. The successful candidate will drive and implement process improvements, system enhancements and continue to lead/improve productivity and efficiency within this function.

Responsibilities:
* Developing site sourcing strategy, sourcing/negotiations, global/regional budget execution and interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Interfacing with Global Commodity Manager and aligning site strategy with Global Commodity Strategies.
* Manage a team of 2 people.
* Identifying appropriate cost reduction ideas.
* Lead/support in-sourcing and out-sourcing strategies. Lead/support transition of projects from other sites.
* Manage and execute supplier and operational issues, including but not limited to engineering change management, contract maintenance, parts availability, quality and launch support.
* Negotiate Long Term Agreements with prospective suppliers
* Work with cross functional teams to identify major projects that need to be moved to another supplier either for cost savings opportunity or for other business needs.
* Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams globally.
* Monitor supplier performance and advise leadership of concerns
* Implement standard Contract Terms and Conditions with suppliers
* Promote early supplier involvement of approved suppliers to optimize quality and produce ability at lowest cost per program requirements.
* Execute contracts with selected supply base as required.
* Escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues.
* Ensure selected supply base is meeting the clients initiatives for cycle time reduction, productivity, quality and delivery.
* Interface regularly with all level of personnel within the company and supplier globally.
* Communicate any Transitions to the factory and receive buy-in for implementation timeline.
* Responsible for achieving business objectives: productivity, defect reduction, lead-time reduction, on-time delivery, and new supplier launches.

Desired Skills & Experience
Experience required:
* Ability to lead/manage a diverse global team.
* Graduate degree preferred.
* CIPS and/or CPM certification desired.
* Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification desired.
* Leadership - strong managerial skills to work across all functions and levels of an organization
