Description
Netbackup Administrator, Symantec NetBackup v.7.x, RedHat, Linux, Windows, GUI, Command Lines, SAN Environments, Oracle Hardware Libraries, SL8500+T10K, Production Development - My globally recognised Financial client based in Luxembourg is currently looking for a Netback Up Administrator. Your main tasks once on the project will be to assist in the testing and deployment of scheduled NetBackup product.
Updates and patches.
Candidates will be expected to carrying out the following -
- Check tape drives, robotics and solve issues if any
- Check NetBackup availability and react if any issue
- Install NetBackup clients if required (package)
- Install Oracle agent for NetBackup (package)
- Check backup of catalog and restart jobs if necessary
- Check, troubleshoot and restart failed backups
- Start backups on demand if requested during migration implementation.
Candidates should have experience in Symantec NetBackup v.7.x on RedHat Linux, windows platform including GUI and command lines. Candidates are expected to have previous experience with support, troubleshooting and problem investigation for tape backups and SAN environments. Oracle Hardware libraries and drives (SL8500+T10K) and system knowledge of Redhat Linux. Knowledge of windows and Solaris would be a plus.
