Description
Spring technology currently require a Finance Business Partner for our Central Government client based in Milton Keynes.
Essential:
* Accountancy qualification eg CIMA, ACA, CIPFA - This is essential due to the accounting complexities of revenue recognition/WIP policies. Exceptionally a candidate may be qualified by experience.
* General Education: A level or equivalent standard;
* Proven track record in financial management and control in public or large private sector organisation;
* Good technical knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures;
* Strong analytical skill-set with exposure to working closely with the business in a decision support capacity;
* IT literate. High level skills in using EXCEL, constructing spreadsheets for reporting purposes;
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, balanced with tact and diplomacy and confidence in dealing with staff at all levels;
* Proven experience of negotiating and building partnerships, using influence to modify behaviour and improve the outcome of business interactions;
* Previous experience of delegating and team-management.
* Ability to develop and motivate staff.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Oracle Projects software;
* Familiarity with central government financial regulations and processes
The successful candidate must have SC clearance or be able to obtain SC clearance.
