Description
This Plano-based industry leader has an immediate 6+ month contract opening (with strong chance for extension) for a Java Developer. Will be responsible for creating and maintaining computer applications that meet the needs of the business community. Will assist in the identification of business requirements, creation of functional designs and creation of technical designs. Will encode programs, create and perform unit tests and assist in user acceptance testing. Will participate in the development of a new Point of Sale system. Will modify existing programs to fix defects and/or enhance application based on requirements. Will be working in a team-oriented Agile SCRUM environment.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5+ years experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, Servlet and JSP.
- 3+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web Services.
- 3+ years of experience with Message Driven Bean (MDB) and Java Messaging Systems.
- 3+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere Server.
- 3+ years experience with SQL, Oracle and JDBC query.
- Prefer experience with Spring framework and Hibernate.
- Experience within an Eclipse based development environment (ie MyEclipse).
- PREFER - Experience leading other application developers through technical design, code reviews, construction and testing; CVS, Ant Scripts and Configuration Management Practices; UML Modeling Practices and System Use Case development; JavaScript, XML, HTML, and CSS.
