Job Title: UNIX System Engineer (French or Dutch)
Salary: €43 - €56 an hour (depending on experience)
Location: Brussels
Intapeople are looking to recruit an experienced (4+ years) UNIX/Linux System Engineer to work a lucrative 10 month contract role based just outside Brussels. You must speak English and either French or Dutch to be considered for this position.
Using your already gained UNIX experience, our forward- thinking client will give you the opportunity to work with the best technologies as you provide Incident and Problem Management according to ITIL Processes.
You will need at least 4 years in an operational IT Environment and experience with;
>Server Technology (Microsoft, Red Hat, Sun Solaris, VmWare)
>Server Clustering (Veritas Cluster)
>Databases (SQL Server and Oracle)
>Storage (SAN, NAS, VTL, Tape,...)
>Network Components and Systems (Firewall, Load Balancer, Proxy, DNSM DHCP, FTP,...)
>Knowledge of Scripting (Perl/Bash/wmi/PHP,...)
Any experience with mobile devices, 3G, iPad etc is also an advantage.
Working on-site you will have fortune of working both under your own initiative and as part of a successful and close knit team, you will have background knowledge in the threads needed to complete project and give support ie Monitoring and Logging, High-Availability, Redundancy, Performance, Jobschedules, restart availability, volume and bandwidth.
This company is forward thinking and values all employees highly; this is initially a 10 month contract with a fantastic chance for extension. It is of paramount importance that you speak either Dutch or French also.
