Aston Carter are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to work for a large global financial organisation based in Poole.
To apply for this role the successful candidate should have the following -
- Extensive experience working within the reconciliations and control arena
- Influencing experience at a senior level (both internal and external)
- Ability to deal on a day-to-day basis with senior Management/Directors of our client and other financial institutions
- Ability to drive through change whilst not necessarily managing that change
- Previous experience of strong performance in service management
- Experience of managing SLA's and KPI's
- Commercial acumen and the ability to deliver and meaningfully analyse MIS
- Communication, influencing and presentation skills, experience in facilitating and charring meetings at a senior level
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following -
- Responsible for all aspects of the daily operational activity of the reconciliations team
- Day to day management of team of 20 (1 direct report)
- Static data, account opening/closing and account administration
- Reconciliation system upgrades and optimisation
- Risk and control
- MIS production
- Point person for overseas India reconciliations team
- Client service, regular reviews and SLA management
- Support the appraisal process and ensure the team set and deliver on SMART objectives
- Focus on integrating the team into the Shared Services model, work with the global team around consistency of controls, working practices and MIS output
- Work in partnership with the India offshore team focusing on SLA's and continued reconciliation build outs, efficiencies and optimisation
- Process and controls supporting global nostro reconciliations
- Continue to enhance account opening and closing activity focusing on an STP model
- Governance around missing statements and out of proof accounts
- Formalise reporting and escalation in line with shared services global model
- Work with the shared services reporting team to incorporate weekly scorecard into weekly risk meeting
- Support the internal global client network as SME's
- Track daily client SLA's and track deliverable's through global client review meetings
- Support and test system upgrades and enhancements
- Integral team in supporting new products and managing impact on down stream reconciliations
- Drive efficiencies and optimisation around system performance and manual touch points
