Communications Manager/Contract/Public Sector/LondonMy client, a North London based council is currently recruiting for a Communications Manager for a long term contract. You would be responsible for providing expert advice and strategically managing a comprehensive and effective communications service for a number of areas within the business.
Skills required:
- Full range of communication and marketing techniques, such as media relations, research, developing key messages, segmenting audiences, effective channel management, working with design and print, producing publications and publicity materials, digital and evaluation.
- Quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
- Current issues and challenges facing local government and public services.
- Various laws and codes governing public relations and communications, including those specific to local government.
- Essential - a relevant communication or marketing qualification or a commitment to work towards one.
- Ideally you will be a member of a relevant professional body eg CIPR, CIM.
