Marketing and Business Development Manager - Professional Services

12 month maternity cover

Location: Reading, RG1

Salary: Negotiable

They are looking for a Marketing and Business Development Manager with a strong track record of developing, implementing and delivering BD and strategic marketing plans.

The Role

This exciting and varied role will drive lead generation and new revenue creation across the operating by working closely with the partners to increase client growth and improve retention.

Main Responsibilities

- Working with the partners to create and implementation Marketing and Business Development plans and campaigns with clearly defined targets
- Generate a personal revenue target though proactive lead generation and identification of 'active' targets and 'key clients' and undertakes detailed research projects on both
- Oversee local and national marketing campaigns
- Oversee local implementation of advertising/sponsorship/PR opportunities
- Attends and is able to lead new business meetings with clients and new targets
- Represents the firm at internal and external marketing/networking events
- Ensures all marketing and business development activity in the office is recorded using sales management and CRM system
- Works in collaboration with the National Pitch Team in the management and delivery of the pitches and proposals

Essential Candidate Requirements

- A strong track record of delivering Marketing and Business Development Plans
- Previous experience of working within professional services (accountants, law firms, banks, business consultancy)
- Thorough understanding and demonstratable application of lead generation, sales and or client management activity
- Strong project management experience
- Experience of developing and mentoring staff
- Proven ability to develop simplified efficient business process
