Senior Functional Analyst - Siebel
Principal assignments
This assignment is about functional content management of a Siebel asset. Main job is managing the interfaces with the different stakeholders. This involves taking the lead and doing the coordination of content related activities, but also writing the functional design.
Working closely with his or her business counterpart in analysing the business requirements. Obtain requirement descriptions on time from the business and challenge them to ensure the quality of the business requirement is to high standard.
Translating user requirements and formalizing them into understandable functional specifications capable of being utilized for technical design by the Indian development team and for test script
preparation by the functional test team.
When taking in business requirements challenge them to avoid too much customization on the Siebel application and to contain the scope of the content to able to stick to commitments.
Manage Indian subcontractor in cooperation with main project manager: get and review estimates to deliver on the items specified in the functional design.
Interfacing with the functional test team. Make sure that test specification is in line with functional design.
Key participant in change and defect management processes
Principal responsibilities:
Helping the project owners to implement their requirements on-time by writing the functional specification, and by getting a commitment on the content by the Indian subcontractor. Work with
the main project manager to deliver quality on time.
Managing project documentation (English)
Analyze and challenge users' requirements against vanilla Siebel
Analyze and challenge the solutions proposed by the developers (external party)
Taking over project management responsibility when the main project manager is absent.
Experience
Master or Bachelor - At least 10 years of experience with Siebel
At least 5 years experience in functional design and project management
Sound knowledge of development methods, standards and tools
Banking experience is an advantage
Strong Siebel background
Experience of business analysis and functional design in a Siebel context.
Experience with managing an Indian subcontractor
